Manage paired TVs and recover your Pro code

Verify a device ID before removing a paired TV, understand what removal cancels, and set up verified email recovery for your activation code.

  1. Pair a second TV with your Pro code

On the second TV, activate TVApplaunchЯ with the same Pro activation code used on the first TV. If an account device slot is available, activation automatically pairs the TV; there is no click-to-pair feature on the Studio website.

An account can have at most two paired TVs. If both slots are occupied, first remove a verified, unused TV in Studio’s “Paired TVs” tab to free a slot, then activate the second TV with the same code.

  2. Match device IDs before removing a TV

Open the “Paired TVs” tab. Studio supports up to two paired TVs; “Refresh devices” reloads the account’s current device list.

When names are ambiguous, open Settings → Website Sync & Backup on the physical TV and compare its six-character Studio device ID with the ID suffix shown in Studio. Do not remove a device based on a generic “Android TV” name alone.

Choose “Remove TV” only for the verified device you no longer use, then read the confirmation. Removing a TV frees one device slot, deletes that pairing’s copied app banners, and cancels its pending APK installs.

Removing the TV currently using your Pro access revokes that TV’s Pro access until you activate it again. This does not simply unlink a Studio data source with no effect on the TV.

  3. Add and verify a recovery email

While signed in to Studio, use the “Email & recovery” section. Enter an address under “Add or change recovery email” and choose “Send verification link”.

Open the email and follow its confirmation link. The address is not linked until you confirm; Studio will show it as verified after confirmation.

If you bought Pro through Stripe, the checkout email is already used for recovery. Google Play does not share its purchase email with Studio, so that address cannot be used for recovery unless you add and verify it in Studio as your optional recovery email. For Play purchases, use “RESTORE PURCHASE” on the TV to retrieve “YOUR STUDIO ACTIVATION CODE”, then add and verify a recovery email in Studio for future recovery.

  4. Request and redeem a lost-code recovery link

Open “Forgot your code? Request recovery” or go to the recovery page. Enter the Stripe checkout email or an address you previously verified in Studio, then choose “Request recovery link”. A Google Play purchase email alone is not eligible; first add and verify that address as the optional recovery email in Studio.

Check your inbox and spam folder. The site gives a privacy-preserving confirmation whether or not it finds an eligible account, and delivery depends on the recovery service being available.

A recovery link is single-use and expires after 15 minutes. On a device you trust, open it and choose “Reveal my code”. Copy the displayed activation code and keep it private. The code is not emailed in plain text.

If Pro is already activated on the TV, use the recovered code to sign in to Studio; you do not need to activate the TV again.

Good to know
  • Sending a verification email only verifies an address; it does not send a code-recovery link. Request code recovery separately from the recovery page.
  • Never share your full activation code or one-time recovery link in a support ticket or public post.
