Arrange Home rows, apps, labels, and hidden apps

Create and name custom rows, choose their apps, adjust row and app order, and restore apps hidden from Home.

Before you start

  • Install TVApplaunchЯ and open Settings on the TV.
  1. Open Home layout editing

From Home open Settings → HOME LAYOUT. The EDIT HOME screen shows the active profile’s rows and controls.

Select ADD ROW to create a custom category. Select RENAME ROW to change its title, enter the new label, and choose SAVE. Row labels can be up to 32 characters.

  2. Choose the apps in a row

On the row select EDIT APPS. Select or deselect app tiles, then choose DONE (count) to save, or CANCEL to leave the selection unchanged. CLEAR removes all selections from the pending selection.

Rows show apps in their current listed order. Recently opened apps in RECENT update automatically rather than using a manually chosen app list.

  3. Change the order of rows and apps

Use MOVE UP or MOVE DOWN on a custom row to change its position on Home.

Select REORDER APPS on a row, then choose LEFT or RIGHT beside an app. Home updates as you move items. Choose DONE when finished.

You can also use an app’s Home options to choose MOVE LEFT or MOVE RIGHT, REMOVE FROM a custom row, or ADD TO another custom row.

  4. Hide or restore an app

With an app tile focused on Home, press and hold OK/Select to open its options, then choose HIDE APP. A normal OK/Select press launches the app. Hidden apps are removed from Home but are not uninstalled.

Open Settings → HIDDEN APPS, select an app tile to restore that app, or choose SHOW ALL to restore every hidden app.

  5. Finish without resetting the layout

Use DONE to leave EDIT HOME. RESET HOME LAYOUT is a separate destructive action: it resets the active profile’s rows and tiles and cannot be undone. Read its confirmation before choosing RESET HOME.

Good to know
  • Free permits up to three custom categories; creating more requires Pro. Other profiles keep their own rows and apps.
  • An app hidden from Home is not the same as removing it from a row. Use HIDDEN APPS if you want to restore an app you previously hid.
