Adjust Home layout, appearance, weather, and clock
Change the Home layout mode and tile presentation, set a weather city, choose temperature and clock formats, and save as you go.
Before you start
- Install TVApplaunchЯ and open Settings on the TV.
Choose a Home layout and tile style
Open Settings → APPEARANCE. Use LAYOUT MODE to cycle between ROWS, GRID, and DOCK. Use DOCK ROW to select which visible Home row supplies the dock apps.
Select TILE SIZE and TILE STYLE to cycle through the choices available to your plan. ROW DENSITY is a Pro appearance control. The screen preview reflects appearance changes.
Set Home buttons and content
In APPEARANCE, use ALL APPS BUTTON, EDIT HOME BUTTON, TV SETTINGS BUTTON, and RECENTLY INSTALLED to show or hide those Home controls or sections. TV INPUTS · EXPERIMENTAL is available only when this TV exposes connected HDMI/AV inputs to Android; it controls access to this TV’s inputs, not another TV’s.
Use APP LABELS to cycle the label style when available; Free keeps app labels visible. Pro adds presentation choices such as HEADER STYLE, GREETING, ROW TITLES, app artwork and tile controls, colour choices, and advanced focus and font options. The controls visible on the TV depend on the installed app version and Pro status.
Choose weather city and temperature unit
Open Settings → WEATHER CITY, or open WEATHER. Turn SHOW WEATHER ON HOME on or off. Select ADD CITY or EDIT CITY, type a city, then choose SAVE CITY. Choose CANCEL to discard the city edit; CLEAR CITY stops weather updates.
Choose TEMPERATURE UNIT to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Weather requires an internet connection and uses Open-Meteo; no location permission is needed. Other apps and settings can still be used offline.
Set the clock and return to Settings
Use CLOCK FORMAT to switch between 12-hour with AM/PM and 24-hour time. CLOCK ON HOME is available with Pro; in APPEARANCE, the CLOCK control and related presentation options depend on Pro.
Appearance changes save automatically as you choose them. Press Back or choose DONE to return to Settings; there is no separate save step for those appearance changes.
- The exact advanced appearance options depend on the installed TV app build. If a control described for a newer build is missing, first check the version installed on the TV.
- The weather tile needs a chosen city and an internet connection. Hiding it keeps the saved city so you can show it again later.
