Choose wallpapers and create a local image slideshow
Preview and apply built-in wallpapers or a Pro custom image, then optionally add up to 30 local still images to a Home slideshow.
Before you start
- Install TVApplaunchЯ. Custom images and image slideshows require Pro.
Preview and apply a built-in wallpaper
Open Settings → WALLPAPER. Select a wallpaper tile to preview it; the available built-in choices include MIDNIGHT, DEEP OCEAN, EMBER, SLATE, SOLID DARK, and SOLID LIGHT. Pro adds AURORA, PURPLE HAZE, and MINIMAL HORIZON.
Choose APPLY WALLPAPER to make the preview the Home background. Choose CANCEL PREVIEW to return to the background that was already applied.
Choose a local custom image
With Pro active, choose CUSTOM IMAGE and select an image from local storage. The app requests continued read access to the chosen file so it can display it as wallpaper.
Select APPLY WALLPAPER to apply the custom-image preview. If Android reports that it cannot keep access to the image, choose another file.
Add and manage a slideshow
In WALLPAPER, scroll to IMAGE SLIDESHOW and choose ADD IMAGES. Select local JPEG, PNG, or still WebP pictures. A slideshow supports up to 30 images and is used on Home.
Use MOVE UP to change an image’s position, REMOVE IMAGE to remove one image, and INTERVAL, SHUFFLE, and TRANSITION to cycle their available settings. TRANSITION switches between Cut and Fade.
Choose CLEAR SLIDESHOW to return to your previous single wallpaper. Slideshow edits save as you make them.
- Custom wallpapers and slideshows are Pro features. Local image slideshow support is included in the hosted signed sideload version 1.3.28; advanced appearance controls can vary by installed TV build.
- A slideshow accepts still images only, not video or animated GIF files.
