Install TVApplaunchЯ and finish first run
Install from Google Play on supported Android TV and Google TV devices, or use the official signed APK sideload paths for Fire TV and other supported setups.
Before you start
- For Google Play, use a supported Android TV or Google TV device; Google Play determines listing availability and compatibility.
- For the hosted sideload APK, use a device running Android 6.0 or newer. Fire TV installation uses the sideload alternatives, not the Google Play listing.
Install from Google Play on a supported TV
On a supported Android TV or Google TV device, open the official Google Play listing and choose Install. Google Play offers the Play edition and selects the version for that device.
The Play edition is separate from the hosted sideload APK below. Its version and device compatibility are determined by the listing, so do not assume it is version 1.3.28.
Use the signed APK as a sideload alternative
The official hosted sideload APK is version 1.3.28: download it from https://tvapplaunchr.com/downloads/TVApplaunchr.apk or follow the alternatives at /install. This sideload release requires Android 6.0 or newer.
To download directly on the TV, open Downloader, enter code 3679028, and choose Go. Or open Squiffix → Transfer Apps → Receive, enter code 986416, and select Fetch. Check the returned app details are TVApplaunchЯ, then choose Normal Installer and confirm the TV’s installation prompt. The receiving controls follow Squiffix’s official instructions; its relay code depends on the service being available.
These sideload options are also the installation path for Fire TV. The hosted APK is signed. Install updates from the official source; do not uninstall an existing copy to force an update, because uninstalling removes its local setup.
Finish sideload installation and first run
For sideload installation only, if prompted allow Install unknown apps for Downloader, Squiffix, or the file manager that opened the APK. Return to the APK and select Install. The setting name and location vary by device; you can turn this permission off afterwards.
When installation finishes, open TVApplaunchЯ from the TV Apps list. On first launch, select GET STARTED to choose favourite apps, or SKIP SETUP to go straight to Home. TVApplaunchЯ Free works without a Pro code.
Installing the app does not change your normal launcher or Home-button behavior. Android TV / Google TV and Fire TV have separate optional Home-button setup guides.
- Only install APKs from sources you trust. Use the Play listing for the Play edition or the official signed APK for sideloading; the hosted APK is not the public Google Play version.
- Banner transfer, local image slideshows, and portable ZIP backups are available in the hosted signed sideload version 1.3.28. The Google Play edition may have a different version; check the installed build before expecting version-specific controls.
