Check Studio updates from the TV
Apply the shared saved Studio layout to an active Pro profile and distinguish it from per-TV app lists and snapshots.
Before you start
- Activate Pro on the TV and use the matching Pro code to access Studio.
- Connect the TV to the internet. Sync happens only when you choose it.
Open Studio and select the correct TV
Open /studio on a phone or computer and sign in with your Pro activation code. The saved website layout is shared among paired TVs; it is not exclusive to whichever TV is selected in Studio.
Select the correct TV when working with its per-TV app list or snapshot, or when issuing a wallpaper command targeted at a TV. Those device-specific actions do not limit which paired TVs can use the shared website layout.
Check for saved Studio updates on the TV
On the TV, open Settings → HELP, SETUP & CUSTOMISATION. This card directs you to TVAPPLAUNCHR.COM for help, setup, and customisation guides; with Pro active, choose SYNC A SAVED LOOK to open WEBSITE SYNC & BACKUP. You can also open DEVICE SYNC from Settings.
In the hosted signed sideload version 1.3.28, choose CHECK STUDIO UPDATES. A pending wallpaper-only command applies directly; full layouts open for review before you choose APPLY TO THIS TV. After a wallpaper command applies, check again to review a saved full layout.
Confirm the scope before applying or sending
The shared website layout applies to this TV’s active Pro profile. Unmatched local app references and rows, other profiles, and unselected Pro settings are preserved by the current sync flow.
Do not choose SEND THIS TV LAYOUT TO STUDIO unless you intend to replace this TV’s per-TV Studio snapshot and app list. That snapshot is separate from the shared website layout; sending it does not replace the shared layout or other TVs’ snapshots. The app asks for confirmation before sending.
Match the instructions to the installed TV version
The hosted signed sideload APK is version 1.3.28; its sync entry is SYNC A SAVED LOOK and its update button is CHECK STUDIO UPDATES. The earlier sideload version 1.3.27 showed DOWNLOAD SAVED STUDIO LAYOUT. Check the TV’s About screen and follow the labels for its installed build.
Google Play can offer a different version from the hosted sideload APK. Check the installed Play edition’s version and on-TV labels rather than assuming it has the 1.3.28 sideload controls.
- A website preview may show Studio capabilities ahead of the publicly hosted TV app. Update the TV from an official published app build before expecting newer sync functions; do not treat a Studio page change as an installed-TV update.
